A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ZEE

Zee, a Mathematics & Computer Science graduate of the University of Waterloo, has a long history of serving on boards and committees even before entering politics. It is his ability to build communities that got him interested in politics and helped him get elected in 2010 and 2014 as Milton Town Councillor. In 2018, Zeeshan was elected as Regional Councillor for Milton in Halton.

He is an active volunteer and gives his time to causes he feels passionately about, including mental health, sustainability and creating livable communities. He has served as a director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton and Hamilton, Milton Public Library and the Milton Transit Advisory Committee.

He has also served as the President of Milton Toastmasters and the co-chair of the Milton Economic Development Advisory Committee. Over the past 8 years, Zee has chaired more Milton Budget Committees than any other councillor.

He currently serves in the boards of Halton Healthcare, Halton Community Housing Corporation and Conservation Halton. He is also a member of the Halton Health & Social Services Committee.

Outside of his council duties, Zee is a successful tech sector and engineering leader in a large multinational corporation. His past experience with companies such as Microsoft and Amazon taught him the value of bold leadership, calculated risk-taking and using data to solve problems.

As a parent with children in the public school system, as well as a lifelong commuter, Zee understands the importance of regional transit and other community infrastructure to support a growing town.

Zee lives in Milton with his wife, blended family of six children and cat named Sushi.
